Thirteen states have new laws restricting cell phone usage at school as the tug of war continues over cell phone bans and restrictions across the nation.

California Governor Gavin Newsome urged all schools across the state to restrict cell phone use, citing that “reducing cell phone use in class leads to better concentration, better academic outcomes, and enhanced social interactions.”
