Amazon’s robotaxi subsidiary Zoox has started testing its new line of vehicles on the streets of San Francisco that seat up to four people. The company said it would begin testing in the SoMa neighborhood with Zoox employees, but did not elaborate on when the service will be open to the public.

The vehicles differ from those operated by competitors Waymo and Cruise, due to the lack of a driver’s seat and steering wheel, making room for two passenger-only benches.
