Missouri to crack down on phone use by drivers

As we start the new year, Missouri drivers can get a ticket for using their phones behind the wheel. Law enforcement officials will begin enforcing the new hands-free law on Wednesday.

The law went into effect in August 2023. Missouri state troopers gave out more than 1,500 warnings to prepare drivers for the change, and now, it’s officially time to make it.
