Scan the LinkedIn profiles of corporate executives and you’re likely to find a record of military service. Amazon’s Vice President of Workplace Safety Sarah Rhoads is among them. The U.S. Naval Academy graduate flew combat missions over Iraq, trained other naval aviators and operated from aircraft carriers stationed all over the world. 

Rhoads is most known for building out Amazon’s air haul network, an obvious role for someone with her background.…
