Ahead of Colossal move, CEO explains science behind $10B valuation

CEO Ben Lamm’s company, formed alongside Harvard University scientist George Church, is now valued at more than $10 billion per its latest funding round, making it the first startup in Texas to achieve such a high valuation. The company has an all-star cast of investors and its 45,000-square-foot genetics lab in Dallas is slated to open midyear. Lamm said he’s pushing for “a diverse population of thriving and interbreeding mammoths.”
